KOTA TINGGI: A local hotel chain has secured a place in the Malaysia Book of Records for organising 50-hours of non-stop hospitality training for its staff.

Amansari which is the hospitality arm of the SKS Group, conducted the training at all four of its establishments in Johor, namely Amansari Hotel in Nusajaya and Desaru, Amansari Residence Desaru, and Amansari Residence Resort.

The training dubbed “Amansari Service Philosophy and Amansari Hospitality Ethics” was held over three days last month at the Amansari Hotel Desaru in Bandar Penawar.

It involved some 100 of their staff from numerous departments such as administration, food and beverage, as well as maintenance and housekeeping.

The aim of the lengthy training session was to equip its participants with the skills and knowledge required to deliver good customer service and experience to their guests.

This was done to drive the brand’s vision as becoming one of the leading home-grown hospitality brands in Malaysia.

Amansari Hotel Desaru and Amansari Residence Desaru head of operation Zach Puah said the training was crucial in improving the brands service towards its customers.

“Through this training, our service quality can be improved and enhanced as we strive to become the preferred choice among travellers.

“Being recognised in the Malaysia Book of Records is a testament of our dedication towards this, ” he said in a press statement.
