Marriott International and SKS Group have announced that a legacy hotel in Bandar Seri Alam will reopen as Four Points by Sheraton Johor Bahru in the first quarter of 2026 following a major rebranding exercise.
The collaboration represents SKS Hospitality’s first step into franchise operations. “This signing marks a bold and meaningful step forward for us – our very first foray into franchising,” said Meera Raj, Head of SKS Hospitality.
The hotel will feature 150 rooms, including 70 Twin Rooms, 70 King Rooms and 10 Three-Bedroom Duplexes. Premium units will provide additional amenities such as coffee machines and complimentary welcome drinks.
Facilities will include an all-day dining restaurant with 98 indoor seats and an alfresco terrace, a 45-seat lobby bar and lounge, and 1,770 sqm of function space, comprising a divisible 1,130 sqm Grand Ballroom, a Junior Ballroom, five meeting rooms, and a pre-function area.
“We are pleased to expand the presence of the Four Points by Sheraton in Johor through this collaboration with SKS Group,” said Andree Susilo, Vice President, Hotel Development, Asia-Pacific, Marriott International.
The property will become SKS Group’s second Four Points hotel and Marriott Bonvoy’s fourth property in Malaysia, joining Four Points by Sheraton Desaru, Sheraton Johor Bahru (opening Q3 2025), and Courtyard by Marriott Subang (opening 2026).
