Marriott International, SKS Group Sign Agreement For New Hotel In Selangor

Marriott International has signed a hotel management agreement with the SKS Group to open Courtyard by Marriott Subang. This marks SKS Group’s third collaboration with Marriott International and its first project outside Johor. Previous projects include Four Points by Sheraton Desaru, launched in 2021, and Sheraton Johor Bahru, set to open next year.

Courtyard by Marriott Subang is expected to open in 2026 and will be part of a mixed-use development featuring retail spaces.
The hotel will offer 280 rooms and will be strategically located in Subang’s economic zone, near leisure attractions and well-connected to transportation hubs, including Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Planned amenities include an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop pool, and versatile event spaces, including a 1,000-square-meter ballroom and four meeting rooms.

Meera Raj, Head of Hospitality at SKS Group, highlighted the personal significance of the project. “Growing up in Selangor, today’s signing ceremony holds special significance for me personally,” Raj said. She added that the partnership with Marriott International reinforces SKS Group’s commitment to enhancing Subang’s appeal as a commercial and leisure destination.

Raj also noted Marriott International’s global reputation for hospitality excellence and expressed enthusiasm for continuing Courtyard by Marriott’s legacy. “Our thoughtfully designed guestrooms will allow guests to relax, recharge, and thrive, regardless of the purpose of their visit,” she said.

The new Courtyard by Marriott Subang aims to cater to both business and leisure travelers, offering exceptional hospitality experiences in one of Malaysia’s most dynamic regions.
